Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026. This policy describes how personal data is processed on ipo-netherlands.com.

Complete before publication: The controller's full legal name and postal address must be added to the Legal notice. The retention and third-party provider details must be checked against the operator's actual configuration.

1. Controller and contact

The controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the operator identified in the Legal notice. Privacy requests may be sent to info@ipo-netherlands.com.

2. Visiting the website

When you visit, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data, including your IP address, the time of the request and the requested resource, to deliver and protect the website. The operator must add the hosting provider's name, retention periods and actual storage location once confirmed.

3. Signing up for IPO alerts

If you sign up, we process the information entered in the form: first and last name, email address, telephone number, country calling code, country of residence, selected sector or company, preferred contact time (if supplied), language, and your consent and its wording. The form also stores the time of consent, the page address, a technical browser identifier (User-Agent), campaign and advertising identifiers (such as UTM parameters, gclid, gbraid and wbraid), and a salted hash of the IP address. The form does not store the raw IP address in the sign-up table.

These details are used to provide requested alerts, document consent, prevent duplicate sign-ups and limit abuse. Required fields are necessary to sign up. If configured, a notification containing sign-up details may be sent to the operator. Sign-up data is stored in a MySQL or MariaDB database on the hosting service.

4. Legal bases and retention

We process alert subscriptions and the data needed to provide them on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Documenting consent and preventing abuse may be based on legal obligations or legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(c) or (f) GDPR), where the relevant requirements are met.

You may withdraw consent at any time for the future, for example by replying “STOP” to an SMS or emailing info@ipo-netherlands.com. The website currently has no automatic deletion period for sign-up data. Data is therefore kept until manually deleted by the operator; the operator must set and implement an appropriate, specific retention period.

5. Cookie choices and similar technologies

The website stores your choice in your browser's local storage under ipoat_cookie_choice (values: accepted or rejected). It updates the advertising and analytics consent signals used by Google Consent Mode. This choice is not sent to our server. You can reopen and change it using “Cookie choices” in the footer of either homepage.

The Google Tag placeholder on the website is not currently populated with an external Google tag or Tag Manager script. Before enabling such services, this policy must be updated with the providers, purposes, legal bases, recipients, transfers and retention periods. The cookie choice controls the consent signals; it does not replace the necessary review and configuration of services actually used.

6. Recipients and transfers

Hosting providers receive technical data needed to deliver the website and store sign-ups. If optional email notifications are enabled, the email service provider also processes the data sent for that purpose. The operator must identify the actual providers. Transfers outside the EEA will take place only if configured for the services used and legally permitted; the operator must add the relevant details before enabling those services.

7. Your rights

Subject to legal requirements, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase or restrict processing of your data, data portability and objection, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority, dsb.gv.at. In the Netherlands, you may also contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

8. Privacy contact

For privacy requests, email info@ipo-netherlands.com. The operator details, hosting information and retention details above must be completed for this policy to be publication-ready.
